Creating a custom Teacher Tools Category

Creating a custom Teacher Tools Category

Unless you make changes, your organisation will have our default Teacher Tools category.

If you would like to change what's available in this Category, you can do so, provided you are an Admin user.

Finding and copying the default Teacher Tools

Log in to ClassConnect and click Categories on the left of the screen. Search for 'teacher' in the search box to the right.

Click the Teacher Tools category to open it. You'll need to create a copy of this to make any changes. Simply click Copy Category in the Actions box to the right of the screen.

Now give your copy a name and click the Copy Category button to create it.

You'll now see your copy, which you have permission to edit. Search for any resources that are useful for your teachers to access and add them to the Category as normal.

Making this Category your default Teacher Tools

Now you'll need to make sure this Category is linked up to your Teacher Tools. To do this, you need to open your organisation management page by clicking the name of your school or organisation at the top right of the page in ClassConnect:

On this page, look for the Teacher Category dropdown under Content Settings.

From the dropdown, pick the Category you just created.

Check the change on a LearnPad

On one of your LearnPads, unlock it into Teacher mode by tapping the padlock and entering your teacher password (101Teacher is the default, but this may have been changed by your administrator). Tap the three dots at the top right of the screen and tap Teacher. This should match up to your new Teacher Tools Category.
