LearnPad can distribute one or more files as a “Resource”. This includes photos, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets e-books, PDFs, MP3 audio files and MP4 videos.
You can either create a new file Resource independently, or you can add it directly inside a Category within a Lesson Profile you've already created.
Creating a file Resource independently of a Lesson
On the Manage tab, beneath the Content heading, click Resources.
From the Actions box in the top-right of the page, click Add New Resource.
In the Name field, enter a name for the Resource.
From the Type drop-down, select File.
Click the Add Resource button.
This will take you to the Resource Management page.
In the Actions box to the right of the page, click Upload File. In the dialog box, click the Choose file button and browse through your computer to find the file you wish to add.
Click Open, then click Upload.
Your file will appear in the All Files field. It's now uploaded and ready to use.
Creating a file Resource inside a Lesson you've already made
Often, it can be easier to simply add files directly into a Lesson you're already using.
To do this, log into the ClassConnect portal and find the Lesson by clicking the Lessons link under the Content heading on the left.
Click through to the Lesson in question to see a preview of its contents.
Decide which Category you'd like to add your file to, then click the text of that Category to enter it.
You'll see a preview of your Category's contents. Click Add New File in the Edit box to the right of this preview.
Give your file a name and click Add File Resource.
If you load the Lesson onto a LearnPad, you should see the file icon has appeared with a download arrow. Tap the arrow to download and open the file.
