The exact instructions may differ slightly depending upon the age and type of LearnPad you are using. If you require additional assistance, please contact us.

Switching On
To switch LearnPad on quickly press and release the power button. This will be located on the side or the top of your tablet.
If LearnPad was asleep, the screen will turn on and display the last application you were using.
If the screen did not turn on this indicates that LearnPad was off. Press and hold the power button until LearnPad starts to boot up, which will be indicated by a sequence of pictures like these.

Once LearnPad has fully started up you will see the current Lesson (if one is installed).

If no lesson is installed you will see help screen:

Switching Off

Quickly press and release the power button to put LearnPad to sleep. In sleep mode LearnPad uses very little power. Unless you do not intend to use the device for a long period, there is usually no reason to turn LearnPad completely off.
If you want to turn LearnPad completely off, hold down the power button until a Power off message appears. Tap this, and then tap OK.

Troubleshooting
  • LearnPad won’t turn on. Ensure LearnPad has power by plugging it in and checking that the screen comes on.
  • LearnPad won’t turn on or off. You can do a “hard reset” by holding the power button for about ten seconds, which should turn LearnPad completely off. LearnPad should now come on with a long press (6 seconds) of the power button.
